St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day School

St. Matthew's Episcopal Episcopal Day School is the primary outreach of our Church.  The Day School was started by St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in 1954 with ten students. Currently under the guidance of Director Terra Scott, the school provides dayycare, 3 & 4 year old Pre K classes and kindergarten for children in the Pampa area. With a core of dedicated talented teachers and a creative curriculum including music and daily chapel, most students are reading as they enter kindergarten.

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church also holds a Pancake Supper each year on Shrove Tuesday to raise money for the school’s scholarship fund. This tradition was started in 1956 and has proven to be a community favorite for sixty years. All you can eat pancakes and bacon are served each year to about 650 to 800 people, depending on the weather, from 5 PM to 8 PM each Shrove Tuesday.
